Hi, I’m Kyla, the founder of Copy Café. An experienced strategic copywriter, I’m also the owner of The Jarrah Consultancy, a copywriting and brand language business I launched way back in 2003. Day in, day out, I’m working with creative agencies and big brand clients like Subaru, Zebra, HID Global, Dell Technologies and Amadeus.

I’ve seen my share of good and bad copy.
I’ve been a professional business writer with a focus on strategic copywriting and brand messaging for more than 20 years – and I’ve seen plenty of good and bad copy during that time!
I’ve worked with creative agencies of all types and sizes, in London and across the UK. I’ve also written for end clients ranging from start-ups and SMEs to PLCs, in a diverse spectrum of sectors – locally, nationally and internationally. You’re likely to be very familiar with some of the brands.
These companies include global technology giants (the likes of Dell Technologies, Zebra, HID Global and Amadeus), outsourced finance expertise, corporate law firms, consultants and ductile iron pipeline suppliers on the B2B side, and automotive brands (Subaru, Lotus, Jaguar Racing and MG Rover – remember them?), Burgess superyachts, interior design firms, international property development groups, high-end folding door firms and energy provider EDF on the consumer front.
My portfolio of work spans everything from creative concepts and tone of voice guidelines to brand identity and name generation briefs, plus effective copy for ads, brochures, packaging, websites, digital campaigns, video scripts, blogs and social posts, even more persuasive business letters.

Life outside work
When I’m not wrangling words, playing with creative campaign concepts or bringing brand language under control, I can be found living with my partner and my dog in the peace and quiet of the Warwickshire countryside.
I’m a fan of Liverpool FC (and the Champions League), the Tour de France, World Rally Championship, good thrillers (film and books), gardening and scything, sushi, gin, solitude, woodland walks, Cornish beaches and remote hideaways.
